Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ)
Adani Ports & SEZ is an India based port infrastructure company. It is a part of Adani Group which is headquartered in Ahmadabad, Gujarat. It is the India’s largest private multi port operator. They engaged in the business of developing, operating and maintaining the Port and Port-based related infrastructure facilities, including Multi product Special Economic Zone ( SEZ ).
APSEZ owns ports in India and outside India. The Indian ports operates by APSEZ’s are Mundra Port, Hazira Port, Murmugoa Coal Terminal, Vizag Coal Terminal Pvt. Ltd., Petronet Port Pvt. Ltd. (Dahej), Kandla Bulk Terminal Pvt. Ltd., Dhamra Port, and Ennore Port – and several outside of India. Their port services including marine, handling intra-port transport, storage, other value-added and evacuation services for a range of customers, primarily terminal operators, shipping lines and agents, exporters, importers and other port users.
Their business interests in different segments including resources : coal mining & trading, logistics- ports and logistics, shipping and rail; energy – renewable, thermal power generation and transmission; cagro commodities and ancillary industries. They also operates cargoes such as coal, wheat, fertilizer, steel, edible oil, chemical, and petroleum products; container cargos; automobiles; and crude oils.
In the financial year 2016 the APSEZL operates terminal across 8 port location handling 151.5 million tonnes of cargo. The market capital of APSEZL is Rs. 80,073.35 crore. An Operating Income of Rs 7256 crore with a PAT of Rs 2830 crore. During the year 2017 aims at operating income of Rs 6245 Cr and profit after tax of Rs 2751 crore.
