Huawei Honor 9i with metal unibody design looks premium style. The selfie expert Oppo F5 comes with better style and looks. Both phones are launched in the same month of October 2017. First one comes with Aurora Blue, Graphite Black and Prestige Gold color choices and the former comes with Gold, Black and Red colors.
Both smart phones are comes with Full HD full view IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 18:9 ratio screen. The IPS LCD also looks beautiful especially with little bezels around it. The resolution of these 2.5D curved glass displays are 2160 × 1080 pixels. There is a slight difference between the sizes of the display. Honor 9i comes with 5.9 inch display where Oppo F5 comes with 6 inches display.
The Honor 9i is powered by the octa-core Kirin 659 SoC, and packs in 4 GB of RAM. The Kirin 659 is made using the 16nm manufacturing process by HiSilicon, a Chinese semiconductor company fully owned by Huawei. This phone’s got 64 GB of internal storage.
Whereas Oppo F5 is powered by a 2.5GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P23 16nm processor with 800MHz ARM Mali G71 MP2 GPU. Helio P23 is one of the latest mid-range MediaTek chipset. This smart phone will be available in 4GB and 6GB RAM options with 32GB and 64GB internal storage, respectively. The EMUI feature of this smart phone offers a single-hand mode that shrinks the display down to one corner of the screen.
The highlight of the Honor 9i is the dual camera setup at the back as well as on the front. There’s a 16 MP rear camera and a 13 MP front camera, both of which are paired with 2 MP secondary cameras to capture depth information. Honor 9i runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 5.1. The software on the Oppo F5 is Android Nougat based ColorOS 3.2.For photography, the F5 has 16MP rear camera with LED flash and wide f/1.8 aperture. For selfies, there is only one 20MP front shooter with f/2.0 aperture lens.
The 3,340 mAh battery on the Honor 9i provides a day’s worth of battery life. oppo F5 is powered by 3200mAh built-in battery. These two handsets can also be expanded up to 256 GB using a microSD card.
